Application-led RFID

RFID labelling solutions for manufacturing, logistics and retail

A strong RFID project begins with the operational decision you need to make—not the hardware. We map the item, data, print, encode, read and exception-handling workflow before recommending equipment or media.

A complete working process

More than a printer specification

We consider the label, data, encoder, product and downstream read point together—because each one affects the result.

01

Manufacturing

Identify work in progress, components, tools, containers and finished goods across controlled process stages.

02

Logistics

Support receiving, put-away, picking, despatch and returnable-asset workflows with faster capture.

03

Retail

Prepare item-level smart labels for inventory visibility, fulfilment and product authenticity projects.

04

Healthcare & labs

Build deliberate identification workflows around samples, devices, supplies and controlled assets.

Specification checklist

What we will confirm with you

A short discovery call and representative samples can remove much of the risk from equipment and media selection.

  • Business event and decision enabled by each read
  • Item identity and required master-data relationship
  • Print-and-encode point within the process
  • Reader location, exception path and manual fallback
  • System ownership, interfaces and data retention
  • Pilot success measures and rollout governance

Where should an RFID project start?

Start with the operational outcome and a representative process. Define what will be tagged, when identity is created, where reads happen and how exceptions are handled before selecting hardware.

Should we run an RFID pilot?

A controlled pilot is often valuable where product materials, read zones or system integration need validation. It should use representative items, packaging, data and operating conditions with agreed success criteria.

Can RFID work alongside barcodes?

Yes. Many projects retain human-readable information and barcodes while adding RFID. The technologies can support different process points and provide a practical fallback when designed coherently.
