Media matched to the application

RFID smart labels, tags, ribbons and consumables

The printer is only one part of a dependable RFID labelling process. We help match the inlay, face material, adhesive, ribbon, roll construction and encoder position so media runs cleanly and performs on the product.

A complete working process

More than a printer specification

We consider the label, data, encoder, product and downstream read point together—because each one affects the result.

01

Smart labels

Paper and synthetic label constructions with integrated UHF or HF/NFC inlays for varied applications.

02

Durable tags

Specialist constructions for assets, outdoor use, cold stores, chemicals, heat and repeated handling.

03

Matched ribbons

Select wax, wax-resin or resin thermal-transfer ribbons around the face material and durability target.

04

Controlled supply

Plan roll quantities, cores, wind direction and changeover stock to support routine production.

Can any RFID label run through any printer-encoder?

No. Label dimensions, inlay position, pitch, liner, thickness, roll size and encoding technology all affect compatibility. Media should be matched and calibrated to the selected platform.

Do RFID labels need thermal-transfer ribbon?

It depends on the face material and print method. Direct-thermal constructions do not use ribbon, while thermal-transfer labels need a compatible ribbon and can provide greater resistance to heat, abrasion or chemicals.

Can you supply pre-printed or pre-encoded RFID labels?

Projects can be assessed for blank, pre-printed, serialized or pre-encoded supply. The right route depends on volume, data ownership, verification and how late in the process variable information becomes available.

What is the difference between an RFID label, sticker, tag and inlay?

An inlay is the RFID chip and antenna assembly. A smart label or RFID sticker combines an inlay with a printable face and adhesive construction, while an RFID tag can use a more durable housing or attachment method. The product, surface, environment and read point determine the format.
